A new President for ECCCO
ECCCO elections took place on the 3rd of october 2006 and Vincent Vanden Bossche from Contactcentres.be, Belgium was elected as the new President of ECCCO. Ann Marie Stagg, from CCMA UK was elected as Secretary.
Creation of an European Norm for Contact Centres
ECCCO was invited the next 20th of october to participate in a meeting in Brussels as an expectator for the creation of a new european norm for contact centres.
ECCCO has been invited with no right to vote, in spite that it represents the contact centre market in Europe.
EUROPEAN CALL CENTRE INDUSTRY CHAMPION RECOGNISED
Call and Contact Centre Associations across the globe are applauding Ann- Marie Stagg, Chair of the UKs Call Centre Management Association who has been named “Industry Champion” for her dedication to improving the call centre industry. The recent event was held at the National Exhibition Centre in the UK and was attended by over 1500 leading call centre professionals from all over Europe. Awards are decided by a panel of 20 independent call centre experts.
The award was presented by Brad Cleveland, President of the International Customer Management Institute who comments: “"There are few people who have done more to build the professionalism and recognition of the industry than Ann-Marie Stagg, and this award is richly deserved. This is an important time in the development of our profession, and it is my hope that the award in general and Ann-Marie's example specifically will inspire many other leaders to come."
On receiving the award Ann-Marie said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be given this award. I believe that it recognises the tremendous work that the CCMA has done in raising both the standard of call centre management and the profile of the UK call centre industry around the world."
Ann-Marie is Chair of the Call Centre Management Association in the UK and a Vice President of the European Confederation of Contact Centre Organisations (ECCCO) and is employed by Co-operative Financial Services in Manchester, UK. Ann-Marie has previously been awarded both "UK Call Centre Manager of the Year" and "European Call Centre Professional of the Year" titles.
